How ISC Works

A practical step-by-step flow showing how to use ISC and how predictions are formed, tracked, and completed.

  1. 01

    Choose a challenge

Start on the Challenges page and open any active mission question that interests you. Each challenge focuses on a real space outcome with a clear deadline, so you always know exactly what is being predicted and when it will be evaluated.

  2. 02

    Review the evidence

Before voting, compare the listed organizations, their capabilities, and the live distribution chart. Read recent news and technical context, then use comments to understand why other participants support a specific competitor.

  3. 03

    Submit your prediction

Pick the organization you believe is most likely to succeed and cast your vote. During this phase, voting is free. ISC records one active vote per user per challenge so every prediction remains clear and accountable.

  4. 04

    Track changes in real time

As events unfold, vote totals and comparison signals update live. You can return anytime to see how confidence is shifting after launches, policy decisions, technical milestones, or new public mission updates.

  5. 05

    Contribute your reasoning

Use the discussion panel to explain your view, challenge assumptions, or respond to others. Strong explanations help the community improve forecasting quality and make each challenge more useful to everyone following it.

  6. 06

    Review outcome and learn

When the deadline passes, the challenge outcome is recorded and the prediction cycle closes. Over time, this creates a transparent history of your decisions and helps you improve how you evaluate future space competitions.
