About Interstellar Challenge
A home for Tanzania's and Africa's space community. We track the national satellite programme, catalogue the continent's space agencies, list the opportunities open to Africans, and run the prediction challenges the site began with.
Why
Tanzania is building its first satellite and has a five-year space strategy. The students and young professionals who will build on both are not yet connected to each other, or to the programmes designed for them. We are fixing that.
Sourced, or not said
Every fact about TanSat-1 and the agencies links to a source. Where something is not public, we say so rather than fill the gap.
Who runs it
Interstellar Solutions Limited, a space-data company in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The site is independent of the TanSat-1 consortium and of every agency listed on it.
Not gambling
Votes on challenges are free prediction signals. There is no money on any outcome, and there never will be.
